  • Line spacing: Double
  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides
  • Page numbers: Bottom center

  3. Keywords (5–8)
  4. Introduction

  6. Results
  7. Discussion

Abstract tips

  • State the problem + gap
  • Explain method briefly
  • Summarize key results (with numbers if possible)
  • End with the main contribution/impact

Citation style

  • IEEE for technical/engineering papers
  • APA for social sciences/humanities
  • In-text citations should be consistent throughout
  • Prefer recent, primary sources where applicable

Common issues

  • Mismatch between in-text citations and reference list
  • Missing DOIs/URLs when required
  • Inconsistent author name formatting
  • Over-reliance on non-peer-reviewed sources

Figures

  • Number sequentially (Figure 1, Figure 2, …)
  • Use clear labels, readable axis text
  • Include caption that explains the figure without needing the main text
  • State source/permission if reused or adapted

Tables

  • Number sequentially (Table 1, Table 2, …)
  • Avoid screenshots—use real tables
  • Define abbreviations in a footnote
  • Cite data sources where relevant

Originality

  • Submit only original work not under review elsewhere
  • Properly cite reused methods, datasets, and figures
  • Disclose related preprints or prior versions

Authorship

  • All listed authors should have contributed meaningfully
  • Agree on author order before submission
  • Declare corresponding author responsibility

Privacy & Consent

  • Anonymize sensitive data
  • Confirm consent/approval for human/animal studies
  • Remove identifying metadata from files when necessary
